EDIT (David): The original question was asking for places to learn topology with an eye towards applying it to computer science (artificial neural networks in particular)

i just wanted to know these things :

1- i want anybody recommend to me a book so i can learn the basics of topology and the complete on my own. 2- how learning topology could help in programing ?

EDIT: i was reading about artificial neural network(ANN). and the author said that "The key element of ANN is topology"
