I was told of a relation between the number of fixed points of the Atkin-Lehner involution and the class number of certain number fields.

Can someone point me to a reference where I could learn about it? (I am not very familiar with CM theory so I need something that doesn't use CM theory resultsdon't want a one-line proof without stating them would be goodfurther explanation).

Thanks.
