I am not the Paul Ross who is an author of various creationist tracts. Any attempts by such an author to claim ownership of this body of online comments on Stack Exchange or any part of it is fraudulent.
I do have an interest in Theology, but my position is one of constructive anti-realism concerning the objects of Theological theories. Religion and the supernatural are not inert constructs - they serve a useful function in providing a range of frameworks or vocabularies for the discussion of issues of personal anxiety or collective functioning. But that is distinct from the proposal of theology as an ontologically privileged foundation, and I strongly disagree with any attempts to argue that the existence of deities or other supernatural entities should be a prerequisite to effective or moral social participation or individual self-determination. Indeed, the belief that they are often proves to be obstacles to both of these.
