After Ph.D under Eggleston on Generalisations of Convexity in 1978 most of my very happy working life was spent in the UK Civil Service with additionally 5 years at what was then Plymouth Polytechnic (1979-1985).

After voluntary early retirement in 2007, after twenty worthwhile years at ECGD, I have sent a few posts to the now "dead" sci.math.research and a few "amateur" posts here.
