Partial order relation on subsets
Thanks! I've used \{ and \} successfully in the past, but it must have been in the comments.

Trichotomies in mathematics
So I really should have ordered the list in the more fun manner of N-U-T. As far as I know, there is no use made of the ordering of this trichotomy in the study of spherical varieties, at least not explicitly.

Graph of $S_n$ with respect to transposition
@darij grinberg: Only using simple transpositions defines the weak order on S_n, while using all transpositions defines the Bruhat order.

What is the ideal corresponding to the Plücker embedding?
You might start with Seshadri's "Standard Monomial Theory -- A Historical Account" (in volume 2 of his collected works) or Lakshmibai/Littelmann/Magyar's "Standard Monomial Theory and Applications" (available online).

What would you want to see at the Museum of Mathematics?
I don't see any reason that you should close this suggestion thread or those on other sites when MoMath opens. Presumably, even after the first exhibits go up you'll be changing the exhibits from time to time and occasionally want to design new ones.

About first Chern class and Poincaré duality in case of an ample divisor
Also if you post the question on Math stackexchange, you should state what definition of Chern class you are using.

About first Chern class and Poincaré duality in case of an ample divisor
This is a perfectly reasonable question, but not for this site. The best place for this question is math.stackexchange.com

Battleship Permutations
I don't have anything insightful to say regarding the problem, but I always thouht that the 1x3 pieces were the submarine and the destroyer, and the 1x2 piece was a PT boat.
