I got into quantitative finance all the wrong way. I started as a floor clerk at CBOE/CME in Chicago. It was some time before I was finally able to make any sense of anything. But even by then, I didn't have the mathematical background to fully exploit it. Since that time, I've been pursuing a career in government, but I never lost interest in the quantitative finance.
