I am in my final year of doctoral study in Mathematics. My research topic is $p$-groups, specifically classification of $p$-groups by coclass. This involves also a great amount of computation in GAP. I really like programming. I have knowledge in C, MatLab, Mathematica.

Now I am planning for my post-doctoral research. So far all my research is pure math oriented. For my post-doctoral research I have an intention to do something which is kind of "application of algebra/group theory". I don't have sufficient knowledge in this regard but genomics, crystallography are such option I heard somewhere.

I here request all academics to advise me some areas/fields where I can apply algebra and computation and do my post-doctoral research. At the same time any information for the corresponding institutions/centre and/or persons whom I can contact will be greatly appreciated.
