This is somehow related to, yet it is not about a specific result, but it's about a life.
Namely, according to these sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolai_Luzin#The_Luzin_affair_of_1936, and http://www-history.mcs.st-andrews.ac.uk/Extras/Luzin.html, it was claimed in "Pravda", in the summer of '36, that Nikolai Luzin published "would-be scientific papers", within foreign journals (!). Also, he was accused of "praising weak work" (!!). And this accusation was certified by some sort of court, AFAIK. Great shame on these former students of Luzin!
