I have a huge set of points(p(x,y)) let's say, a billion points (actually there's much more than that!) Anyway, can I find an equation let's say for a curve that goes through all of these points? I don't care about how the curve looks, or which model it follows(or even if it was considered as a curve!) I don't care how hard it is to implement, or how much time it would take, cuz I'll use computer to do it. Thanks! :)

  • $\begingroup$ Any Traveling Salesperson algorithm gives a nice piecewise linear curve; you may then proceed with a spline or NURBS algorithm on the points in the order in which they are encountered on the TSP solution- polygon. $\endgroup$ – Manfred Weis Feb 14 at 15:54
