Would it be simpler to study the irreducible components of $Y_1(m) \times_{\mathcal{M}_{1,1}} Y_1(n)$ such that the intersection of the two subgroups in Pic$^0(E)$ is zero? In the case $m=n$ I can see that there are $\mu_n$ irreducible components isomorphic to $Y(n)$, one for each value of the Weil pairing. What happens when $m \neq n$? | |
