May 24, 2012 at 15:09 | comment | added | David White | I'm confused. If $E'$ is an injective $\Omega$-spectrum then the "behaves correctly" in the OP's quote should force $E^0$ to take levelwise equivalences to isomorphisms (this is Corollary 3.1.8 and Definition 3.1.3 in the HSS article). So don't you want your recipe to make $E'$ an $\Omega$ spectrum but not injective? If so, then I imagine you don't want to take fibrant replacement of the product, as your comment suggests. | |

shoot. I want the smash product to actually be replaced by a fibrant replacement of the smash product when constructing $E′$. the cohomology group should also be the E-cohomology of $B\Sigma_n$ , which splits off a copy of the E-cohomology of a point.
