Jun 30, 2012 at 5:15 comment added spr I hope this very good question is not closed yet. I have heard that $\rho$ of $G$ can be related to the curvature of the homogenous space $G/H$, where $H$ is closed subgroup of $G$. I am interested in particular when $G$ is noncompact semisimple Lie group and $H$ is its maximal compact subgroup. Can anybody elaborate on this.. please?
