Nov 9, 2011 at 19:12 comment added Thierry Zell I don't know what "inking" is either, but for the record, the quality (response, especially) of input devices for the ipad is, in my experience, extremely variable. My first cheap stylus didn't cut it for very long.

Certainly I can get better control with a graphics tablet (no need for an actual tablet computer), but it's all a balance. I get good enough quality with an iPad that it's other benefits mean that on the whole it is better than my laptop. (See my comment on my post if you're interested in more details on my iPad experience.)
Nov 6, 2011 at 1:51 comment added GMark The quality of "inking" I've seen with the after-market pens for the Ipad is pretty miserable. Not surprising given that they weren't designed for digital inking (and given Job's antipathy to the digital pen.) But perhaps there's something better I haven't seen.
