Also, while it is perhaps technically true that students these days don't lack access to mathematical content, there is still a relative dearth of good books on real mathematics for high/middle/elementary school students. So another role of the teacher should be to identify and recommend the good books on actual mathematics. Good books can play a role similar or complementary to the role of a a good teacher. | |
