Those are the kind of answers I was looking for, although not quite definitive for $0\to p\mathbb{Z}/p^i\to E(\mathbb{Z}/p^i)\to E(\mathbb{Z}/p)\to 0$ when $i\ge3$. But the relation with the Deuring canonical lift looks useful. Felipe, I did realize that for ECDLP you use a sequence that is non-split, so that when you lift nonzero points to $E(\mathbb{Z}/p^2)$, they will have order $p^2$. | |
