Jan 24, 2011 at 4:44 comment added John Klein No, It's not Igusa. I do remember Kiyoshi having attributed it to Hatcher. It might be in Hatcher's paper from the 1976 Stanford conference. I realize now that might also have to loop the fibration once to get the correct statement.
