"Oriented" means (roughly) that formal completion of a curve over Spec(R) is equipped with an equivalence to Spf( R^{BU(1)} ), (as formal groups). This suggests to me that the derived formal group result you mention is likely to be pretty tautological; still, I'd love to see how it works out. | |
