Nov 20 at 18:51 comment added Jason Starr In “Field Arithmetic” it is quite common to use the Cebotarev Density Theorem to deduce irreducibility theorems that are purely algebraic statements. Some of these can be proved purely algebra-geometrically (I have a paper about this).
