Jul 17 at 12:05 comment added Timothy Chow Yann Bugeaud's book Approximation by Algebraic Numbers gives many more examples of ineffective results in Diophantine approximation. In terms of irrationality measures, it is known that (for example) the irrationality measure of $\pi$ is at most 7.1032... but we can't say how large $p$ and $q$ have to be in order to be "sufficiently large."
