Dec 17, 2023 at 18:58 comment added user479223 This doesn't quite seem right. $\int_{-\infty}^\infty \frac{1}{1+t^2} dt<\infty$ but $i\int_{-\infty}^\infty \frac{1}{1-\tau^2} d\tau$ blows up.
