Jul 8, 2022 at 21:07 comment added Max Horn The ZCA Kaiserslautern ("Centre for Computer Algebra") in Kaiserslautern does not exist anymore in this form, but computer algebra still is strong in Kaiserslautern: there is the transregional collaborative research centre (SFB-TRR) 195 “Symbolic Tools in Mathematics and their Application”, see computeralgebra.de/sfb developing the OSCAR computer algebra system; also still Singular HQ is there; and since July 2022 also the coordination of GAP moved to Kaiserslautern (disclaimer: I am one of project leads for both OSCAR and GAP)
