It could confuse people with the notion of Cartan connection in differential geometry. For me, the Cartan connection is the pair $(\omega,\sigma)$ where $\sigma$ is the soldering forn. Then the spin connection is just, once we choose a spin structure, the connection on the spin bundle uniquely determined by and determining the Levi-Civita connection. (This is not an answer, so I am not giving details.) | |
