I like the cannon fodder analogy -- made me laugh! I think of myself that way sometimes. Also, though, deep down I like to think I might be smarter than I realize. If I keep at it, maybe I will tap into some hidden reserves of insight. Also, remember the line from Ecclesiastes:
"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill;skill, nor yet theorems to mathematicians of brilliance; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
You may solve a better problem thanOK maybe the part about theorems is not in the original, but you 'deserve' (whatever that means)!get my point :-)
