I would expect that you also need some assumptions like each $f^*$ preserves sifted colimits, so that $f_!$ preserves compact projective objects, and maybe $f^*$ should also be conservative, so that $f_!$ carries a set of compact projective generators to a set of compact projective generators. The later conjecture is correct and should work in this generality (roughly, animation of a good biCartesian fibration is also a biCartesian fibration), but I do not have a reference for that. | |
