However, only one set of marginal totals (the number of pieces per bag) is fixed; the other (the total number of pieces of each type) is not. That pushes me towards Barnard's test, but that seems to apply only to $2×2$ tables, not $b×t$. Would a $\chi^2$ test be appropriate? | |
