Stack Exchange network consists of 183 Q&A communities including Stack Overflow, the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers.
After some research, there seem to be some papers regarding the number of certain types of tunnels, but none studying their lengths, which is the parameter I would be interested in. Any other reference would be highly appreciated!

Thank you very much for the comments. It turns out that what I am looking for is called either "chords" or "multitunnel" in FuckDyck paths depending on the author. It would be great to find a generating function involving their length. I will continue searching for references.
