Dec 7, 2021 at 14:22 | comment | added | mme | For these signs I always check Warner. The adjoint is defined on p-forms on an n-manifolds as $d^* = (-1)^{n(p+1)+1} *d*$ and one has $** = (-1)^{p(n-p)}$, so $$d^* * = (-1)^{n(n-p+1)+1} (-1)^{p(n-p)} *d = (-1)^{p+1} * d,$$ I think. | |
