Also there are 2 copies of the Hitchin component for representations into $\operatorname{PSL}(4,\mathbb{R})$. Each of them will lift $2^{2g}$ times. So I should get $2^{2g+1}+2$ connected components in $\operatorname{SL}(4,\mathbb{R})$, no? | |
