Nov 13, 2021 at 21:31 comment added Denis Nardin As a side note, in more and more homotopy theory articles there's a tendency to work "model-independently" so to speak. This is not a precise thing, since we do not have a true completely rigorous "model-independent language" in which to write, but the idea is to write stuff so that it is easy to interpret in whichever model you want to work (although one can refer to proofs of model-independent statements that are done in a specific model). As far as I can tell it's not a recent trend, but it has certainly gained momentum in recent years.
