On the one hand, the literature says that $W_0 H^*_c(M_{1,3})$ is nonzero. On the other hand, the weight zero cohomology of the fibers vanishes, so assuming the statement it follows that $W_0 H^*_c(M_{1,3}) = 0$. | |
