Jun 26, 2021 at 18:23 comment added Anthony Quas I think it’s more subtle than that. If $\alpha$ has large irrationality measure but $\beta$ and $\beta+/alpha$ have small irrationality measure, it takes a long time for $n(\beta,\beta+\alpha)$ to densely fill out the torus.
