Basically, the editors of "K-Theory" (Springer) resigned around 2007 to start the "open-access" "Journal of K-Theory" (Cambridge U Press), but there were problems with the owner and managing editor of "Journal of K-Theory", Anthony Bak, causing all editors except him to resign in 2014, and found instead "Annals of K-Theory" (Mathematical Sciences Press), which seems to be truly open-access. | |
