I've started rewriting the question, it was indeed unclear. As for Greg Stevenson's answer, to say that he basically answered my question is to say that for groups A , B the Hom(A, B) = A^*\otimes B makes lots of sense. This might be a well-known thing I'm not aware of, could you clarify it a bit?
