Feb 5, 2021 at 9:40 comment added Sasha If $X$ is a hyperelliptic curve of genus 5 then $\omega_X$ is the pullback of $\mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}^1}(4)$, so pulling back and twisting the sequence on $\mathbb{P}^1$, you can obtain a similar sequence on $X$.
Feb 5, 2021 at 9:22 comment added user39380 @Sasha Thanks! Do we have such an example for $E’=O_X$, $E’’=\omega_X$ on a curve of genus >2?
Feb 5, 2021 at 9:19 comment added Sasha For the first question the answer is definitely negative --- think of the exact sequence $0 \to \mathcal{O}(-2) \to \mathcal{O}(-1) \oplus \mathcal{O}(1) \to \mathcal{O}(2) \to 0$ on $\mathbb{P}^1$.
