Stability (of various sorts) is usually studied for the embeddings of root systems (and sometimes for diagram foldings), which is not the case. Studying the properties shared by the families of "similar" root systems that are not ordered by inclusion is often rather hard, but such questions arise rarely. So what is the motivation here? | |
