I didn't quote the whole abstract; part of what I left out is "As far as the author is aware, the result is new, even though it would not be hard for specialists in the field to prove." So, no, it's not a hoax (as far as I know) or purely a joke. However the paper appeared on April 1 and clearly has a humorous intent in the writing style. | |
