Also, regarding the inner model proof, from what I gather, Steel defines $Π_n$ iterability, which is $Π^1_{n+1}$ and suffices for iterability for relevant $n$-small premice — except for odd $n$ for premice (in $V \setminus M_n$) that coiterate past all reals that are $n$-small mice, which accounts for the difference of $Σ^1_{n+2}$ between $M_n$ and $V$. | |
