Oct 16, 2019 at 2:06 comment added skd @Qixiao This is essentially because the category of rational E_oo-rings is the same as the category of cdgas (and also the same as simplicial commutative Q-algebras). So when you take the derived smash product in the world of rational E_oo-rings to define THH, you just recover ordinary HH.

Oct 15, 2019 at 6:12 comment added user39380 @TylerLawson Thanks! Is there a reference for the equivalence of THH and HH over rationals?
Oct 14, 2019 at 14:42 comment added Tyler Lawson In regard to the specific example, for algebras over the rational numbers Hochschild homology coincides with $THH$. Therefore, by the result you mentioned (eg. proved in Cortiñas and Weibel's "Homology of Azumaya Algebras"), they have the same $THH$.
