I suggest models in the social sciences like the Krause-Hegselmann modelKrause-Hegselmann model of consensus dynamics. Also the Kuramoto modelKuramoto model for synchronizing oscillators is nice and can be used to model other things e.g. the synchronization of firefliessynchronization of fireflies.
