Precisely I want to know how to reconstruct the form $\omega$ from the cocycle $\omega_{xyz}$ in such a way that the integral of $\omega$ is precisely that sum. I have seen in some places that people build the 2-form $\sum_{xyz} \omega_{xyz} h_z dh_x \wedge dh_y$, where the $h_x$ are a partition of unity, but I don’t know why that gives you the wanted integral. | |
