See the appendix to Hellegouarche's 2001 book on FLT. Frey cites Hellegouarche's prior work in his 1977, 1982, 1987, and 1989 papers, but NOT in the 1986 paper linked above.

You could try to do the same or ask directly in Saarbrücken. If you give me your address, I can also ask my secretary to send you another xerox copy of it.
