Jan 11, 2018 at 12:56 comment added HJRW @Yiftach, it's worse than that. Finite groups are at least recursively enumerable. The class of fg residually finite groups is uncountable, and probably the class of fp ones is not recursively enumerable. (Certainly its complement isn't.)

I am just looking for a list of interesting families for which it would be interesting to examine questions. Finitely generated linear groups are residually finite, but this is probably too general to any specifc question I have in mind.
