Nowadays we're using it to improve modeling techniques in epidemiology, and this is just one of a host of possible applications - it just happens that an expert in epidemiology knew some category theory and was frustrated with the existing sofware for modeling. I'm not so aware of links to analysis though, but it is not really an area I've spent much time in. Some of the theory of coinduction may be relevant though. | |
