Jan 10, 2017 at 2:37 comment added user44143 It's also worth extending these graphs to the right, to show that the function is well-defined for x=1 and x>1. Furthermore, the function is not convex for x>1, e.g. not after x>1.2 if n=3. This suggests that the answer will not be easy.
