Dec 2, 2016 at 20:52 comment added Bill Johnson That weakly compact sets are weakly sequentially compact is the easy direction in the Eberlein-Smulian Theorem. You just observe that a weakly compact separable set lives in a separable subspace and hence (this is easy) is weakly metrizable.
