Jun 22, 2019 at 2:04 | comment | added | John | Based on my experience in numerical analysis of PDEs, it seems that Foundation of Computational Mathemtics (FoCM) is less known than Mathematics of Computation, Numerische Mathematik, or SIAM journals. Do you think FoCM is at the same level of these journals?

Seriously, the publishing professional society of "Mathematical Programming", series A, B, and C was founded as the :"Mathematical Programming Society" in 1973, and changed its name to the more understandable by the non-O.R.-inclined "Mathematical Optimization Society" in 2010. However, the journal names have been left as "Mathematical Programming".

Nov 9, 2016 at 14:51 | comment | added | Stefan Kohl♦ | @just-someone: what do you mean by "is it any good"? -- In any case, in spite of the name, the scope of Advances in Applied Mathematics is not limited to applied mathematics. -- For example, I have published there already a pure mathematics paper (see here).
