If I'm not mistaken, Khazdan-Wenzl showed that the Rep(Uq(G)) categories are equivalent to Rep(U(g)) iff q is not a root of unity. In the root of unity case you end up with 0 dimensional representations which you have to mod out by in order to get something sensible. | |
