Aug 14, 2016 at 12:55 comment added Tim Campion Well, $\mathcal{M}_\mathbf{C}$ is a poset in several different ways -- by inclusion of cofibrations or acyclic cofibrations (or their duals, which are just opposite to these posets) or inclusion of weak equivalences. If I have two model structures on a category and I want to think about how they're related, I usually start by thinking about how they're related in these poset structures...
