Particularly there is always great need for excellent exposition, and I have found that the Harvard senior theses math.harvard.edu/theses (where, as I understand it, the student is expected not to solve an open problem) are admirable examples and undoubtedly provide great training. (I also regard thoughtful exposition -- effective arrangement of the facts -- as a creative act of research.) | |
