For instance, one of the 5 rubric components is "creating an inclusive learning environment", which is not mentioned in any form in the survey. Conversely, the survey's number 2 item, "dedication to teaching", does not appear on the rubric. In general, the survey clearly focuses more on specificity and practice while the rubric focuses on theory. I believe the rubric was written with disciplines other than math in mind, too. It seems to me the survey is the better path to follow here. | |
